63nd Lesson - Off Line- Letters found by Professor Cat's desk

To my dear students: Fakir, Mytho, Rue and Ahiru:

I write these lines without knowing of the results of my trade. The madam deity asked ffor my life but she claimed she would not take my heartbeat. I live but I will not and this is a mystery for. Young Fakir, before you blame yourself for this like you usually do, take on account your Professor chose to give his life for yours. I want you to live, young man, I want you to live and love on my name if I'm unable to. Miss Ahiru will love you and you'll learn to accept you are beloved and you can dance and dance through eternity with your companion. If you don't do it for yourself, do it for me.

Young Mytho and Miss Rue, you two are the ideal couple of dancers, I have nothing else to teach the both of you for you have surpassed your old professor. You may not possess the talent of a cat, but when you dance and love, it's done in the ways swans do: graceful and fulfilled. I would have like to. If I could take you to the altar where he waits for you. I know you would live a happy marriage and your wedding would be unforgettable. Take care of my students and the corps de ballet. Young Fakir assist them in what they need from you.

Miss Ahiru our acquaintance is shorter than my older students, but I can safely claim you are a charming and unassuming woman. It would have been an honor to marry you when you were still single. [Mytho, as he reads, looks sad, but smiles towards the end and is full of gratitude towards his former teacher. It is a puzzled glance he gives the cat, however.]

How did you get in here? [It is a gentle question as he cautiously reaches a hand out, wanting to pet the cat.]

[Rue notices the door open and spots Mytho inside. She interrupts him while the cat meows and arches his back]

I'm afraid Professor Cat will not mind. I came knocking to tell him of the wedding and see if he could give advice, But.... You will read it.

[Absently pets the cat, watching it, though terribly morose.] I think Fakir might have issue with this.

[Rue takes the letter and looks at Mytho odly before reading it. Her eyes widen in shock, mouth hangs open. She hasn't expected this. She has never thought he was aware of this.

There's a knot in her throat and her stomach. She's glad for her brother but shattered by the sacrifice]

He did that for us?

[Her watered gaze falls unto the cat, understanding. Rue falls to her knees, tears streaming out from her eyes]

Oh! [Mytho pulls his hand away from the cat, looking a little surprised.] That is Professor Cat! [He gets down on his knees along side Rue.]

I am sorry, Professor. I hope you do not mind being pet like a common house cat.

I know! She wasn't replying to a post or anything, more...reacting out loud when she found the letter.

[Eve stands beside the cat, going over what's written one more time before folding it back up and putting it into the envelop.]

...

[She looks to the cat, wondering.. He made a trade with the deities. What was the punishment?.. She decides to push those thoughts aside, nods to the cat, and returns to her room]
